What country created this first pasteurized grape juice?

The pasteurized grape juice that we know today was created by Thomas Bramwell Welch of New Jersey. He wanted to create a non-alcoholic wine for church services during the temperance movement. All of his work eventually led to the creation of Welch's, the juice company that we all know today.
