BMW has produced a number of well-known homologation vehicles throughout the years. None of them were as unique as the E9 3.0 CSL. BMW's first effort at a road-going sports vehicle is often nicknamed the "Batmobile" by fans. The CSL 3.0 could reach 60 mph in just 7 seconds. This helped win many championships, including the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1973.
