The Japanese company, Nissan, was founded in 1933 by Yoshisuke Aikawa. All Nissan cars sold abroad were sold under the name Datsun until 1986 when these vehicles were brought under the Nissan name. In 2013, Nissan revitalized the Datsun name as a brand of Nissan.
