After piloting a mission aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery, being Mission Commander of the Endeavor and numerous other missions, Scott Joseph Kelly acted as commander on the 11-month mission to the International Space Station, which comprised Expeditions 43, 44 and 45. Kelly holds the American record for an astronaut with the largest number of accumulated days in space. His Identical twin, Mark Kelly, is also a former astronaut.
