What American actor was featured in over 100 films from the 1940s through the 1970s, including I'll Cry Tomorrow and Ocean's 11?

Answer Richard Conte

Richard Conte was elevated to top billing by Fox with the release of The Spider, a noir film. Although it was a "B" picture, it was popular enough to establish Conte in the world of noir cinema. He had a supporting role in Somewhere in the Night and then co-starred with the great James Cagney in the espionage film 13 Rue Madeleine. Right before his death, he starred in one of the greatest films of all time, The Godfather as Don Barzini.
