Depicted here, what actor starred in the 1948 Hitchcock film Rope and the 1951 film Strangers on a Train?
Answer Farley Granger
Farley Granger was discovered in a minor stage performance in Hollywood by a Goldwyn casting director and was offered a prominent part in The North Star, a contentious picture promoting the Soviet Union during World War II ,but afterward denounced for its political prejudice. In 1948, Hitchcock cast him in Rope, a dramatized depiction of the Leopold and Loeb murder case. Although the film received mixed reviews, Granger received widespread critical acclaim.
