The blobfish was voted world's ugliest animal in 2013 due to its blob-like appearance. However, the creature isn't supposed to look like it does, because it normally lives 2,000 feet (600 m) below the surface where the pressure is much more extreme. The pressure change from bringing it to the surface has caused its body to disfigure in the way we generally see it.
