Truman was left to make the momentous decision of whether or not to drop the A-bomb. On which cities did he end up dropping them?

Answer Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Truman had been left in the dark about the Manhattan Project – America's secret development of nuclear bombs. However, he soon decided to use them. On August 6, 1945, the first A-bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, killing 80,000 people on impact and later more, due to radiation poisoning. The second bomb was dropped three days later on Nagasaki, killing around 40,000 more. Not a week later, Imperial Japan surrendered.
