Time to get into the specs. Each department should develop which of the following?
Answer SOPs and SOGs
SOGs (standard operating guidelines) are "how tos" related to the fire department's aims. SOPs (standard operating procedures) are more formal policies that dictate the department (and the individual's) actions when operating in the field. SOPs, in particular, are to ensure consistency, efficiency, and safety amongst the crew.
