This thing must have taken Noah forever to build. What was his ark made of?

God told Noah in Genesis, "Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch." The word, "gopherwood," is not known outside the Bible, so no one really knows what kind of wood Noah used...maybe this type was destroyed in the flood.
