This suave fellow was born Archibald Alexander Leach in 1904 in Bristol, England. Can you name him?

Answer Cary Grant

Almost immediately after moving to Hollywood in 1931, 27-year-old theater actor Archie Leach wowed Paramount execs enough to land a long-term contract. And almost immediately thereafter, the studio said, about that name... "Archie Leach just doesn't sound right in America," to which Grant responded, "It doesn't sound particularly right in Britain, either." Paramount reportedly chose the Cary Grant stage name because of the similarity to Gary Cooper, their biggest box office start at the time. Grant later quipped, "My family name is Leach. To which, at my christening, was added Archibald Alexander, with no opportunity for me to protest."
