This sports car came from a long line of nimble two-seater roadsters, but ultimately went down in history as an oddball model for the manufacturer. Name this wannabe classic.

Answer Triumph Stag

Even though Triumph is best-known for its roadsters, such as the Spitfire and the TR series, the Stag was actually a four-seater convertible or "sports tourer." Further diverging from the classic Triumph formula, the Stag was powered by a 3.0-liter V8, rather than a straight-six or straight-four. The Stag eventually became notorious for its unreliability and was never replaced by Triumph.
