This sculpture of Prometheus is one of the most famous depicting the Greek God of fire. Where is this bronze piece of art located?
Answer Rockefeller Center, New York City
This is arguably the most famous sculpture in NYC, and undoubtedly the most photographed. It was created by American sculptor Paul Manship, who loved all-things mythological. The quote that’s carved in the wall behind him was written by famed Greek author Aeschylus: “Prometheus, Teacher in Every Art, Brought the Fire That Hath Proved to Mortals a Means to Mighty Ends.”
