This modern classic featured a Lamborghini V10 engine, specifically built for the model's debut in 1991.
Answer Dodge Viper
Due to concerns from the United Auto Workers, Dodge was compelled to replace the Japanese-built Dodge Stealth with it as the pace car for the Indianapolis 500 in 1991. It made its public premiere in January 1992 as the RT/10 Roadster. The V10 engine for the Viper, which was based on the Chrysler LA V8 engine, was designed with the assistance of Lamborghini, which was then owned by Chrysler Corporation. Dick Winkles, the principal power engineer, who had spent time in Italy supervising the development of the engine, had been a significant contributor to the Viper from the outset.
