This iconic Hollywood star was born on Christmas Day in 1899. Can you name him?
Answer Humphrey Bogart
Unarguably one of Hollywood's leading legends, Humphrey Bogart played hard-boiled detectives and gangsters like no one else. His best-known films include such classics as 'High Sierra' (1941), 'The Maltese Falcon' (1941), 'The Big Sleep' (1946) and 'Key Largo' (1948). But it is his performance as a romantic lead in 'Casablanca' (1942) for which Bogart will always be most remembered. Despite his extraordinary on-screen chemistry with co-star Ingrid Bergman, behind the scenes the two were coldly professional at best—reportedly due to his soon-to-be-ex-wife's rabid jealousy and not any actual ill-will between the two stars. A two packs of Chesterfields per day smoker, Bogart was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 1956. After undergoing a nine-and-a-half hour operation, he decided to put his health first ... and switched to filtered cigarettes. He died the following year.
