Comic legend Robin Williams grew up in posh Marin County, California. Williams graduated with the class of 1969 from Redwood High School, where he competed for the cross country, track and field and soccer teams. Not surprisingly, he was also part of the theater department, which he later said helped him to overcome his shyness.
