This caliphate came to power by overthrowing the Umayyad caliphate in 750. What is the name of this caliphate that lasted from 750 to 1258?

Answer Abbasid Caliphate

The Abbasid Caliphate came to power in 750 when it overthrew the Umayyad Caliphate. Though beaten by the Seljuks in 1055, the Seljuks left the caliph as leader of the empire in name, though they took a large amount of the control of the empire. The Abbasid Caliphate officially came to an end when Baghdad fell to the Mongols in 1258.
