Although Frida Kahlo didn't speak these last words before dying from what officials say was a pulmonary embolism at the age of 47, she did write a final entry in her diary. The entry includes a drawing of a black angel, alongside the words, "I joyfully await the exit – and I hope never to return – Frida." And she never did.
