Arthur Ashe won the Wimbledon men’s singles title in 1975. He also took home singles titles in the 1970 Australian Open and the 1968 U.S. Open. After dying of AIDS-related complications in 1993, President Bill Clinton posthumously awarded Ashe the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
