Lake Mead is a man-made lake or an anthropogenic one. It is located in Nevada and Arizona, 24 miles east of Las Vegas. It is the biggest man-made lake in the United States and it delivers water to Arizona, California, and Nevada, as well as a portion of Mexico, sustaining almost 20 million people.
