Answer Raymonde de Laroche
In October 1909, Raymonde de Laroche asked her friend, aviator Charles Voisin, to teach her to fly. On March 8, 1910, she became the first woman in the world to receive a pilot license. Unfortunately, in the summer of 1919, she was killed while co-piloting a new aircraft.
