The "War on Terror" began in Afghanistan. What dictator did the U.S. look to unseat next?

Answer Saddam Hussein

The war in Afghanistan was launched in October of 2001. The US invaded Iraq a year-and-a-half later, in March of 2003, as part of its "War on Terror" campaign, despite worldwide protests. The Bush administration cited the fact (fiction?) that Hussein possessed "weapons of mass destruction" for just cause to launch the attack. The Iraq war lasted 8 years, ending in December of 2011. Mission accomplished?
