The U.S. tried to stay neutral during WWII, but Japan pulled them in by bombing the U.S. naval base here. Name that harbor.
Answer Pearl Harbor
The Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service launched a surprise attack on the United States, striking Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu on December 7, 1941. Until then, the U.S. was officially neutral (although they did provide military aid to Britain), considering their involvement in WWI to have been a mistake. But this attack ended that neutrality. They formally declared war on the Empire of Japan the following day.
