Answer Elephant

Once called the most famous Frenchman in the world, Babar has been a beloved character in children's literature for nearly a century. First introduced to the world by Jean de Brunhoff in 1931, the series was taken over by the author's son Laurent after Jean's untimely death from tuberculosis in 1937. Just 13 years old at the time, Laurent's first contribution was completing the artwork in two of his father's yet-unpublished Babar manuscripts. At age 21, Laurent published his first Babar book; as of 2017, he'd published more than 50.
