The prolific American serial killer, Ted Bundy, may not have been convicted had it not been for this bit of forensic evidence.

Bundy was notoriously meticulous in clearing his DNA and other evidence from crime scenes. The only thing prosecutors had on him was a bite mark he left on one of his victims, Lisa Levy. After a court order was given to collect an impression of Bundy's teeth, the chipped and misaligned bite mark was an exact match.
