Often referred to as the Olympic Anthem, the Olympic Hymn is a choral cantata with lyrics by Greek poet Kostis Palamas. Who composed the hymn's music?
Answer Spyridon Samaras
The International Olympic Committee designated Spyridon Samaras and Palamas' song as the official Olympic Anthem in 1958, at the IOC's 54 Session in Tokyo. Prior to that, each hosting country commissioned different artists to compose an Olympic song for their particular version of the games.
