The locals so love their nature that they got rid of their capital's single traffic light. Name that Buddhist paradise.
Answer Thimphu, Bhutan
It's said that the traffic light in Thimphu was only up for 24 hours when the locals removed it from the busiest street in the city. Apparently, the light was considered too flashy (no pun intended). Being that there are only around 60,000 cars in the country, it makes sense that the Bhutanese chose to take a more personal route, using traffic policemen to direct intersections.
