The handlers of the Jewish young men renamed them all, giving them Babylonian names. What did they change Daniel's name to?
Answer Belteshazzar
In order to make the young men more "Babylonian" they needed to forget their old names. Daniel's new name meant: "lord of the straitened's treasure." He's never referred by that in the rest of the book.
