The first LEGOLAND theme park opened in 1968 in which country?
Answer Denmark
Founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen, LEGO is an abbreviation of a two-word Danish phrase: “leg godt”, meaning “play well”. After initially making toys out of wood, the company purchased its first plastic injection molding machine in the late '40s. To his less visionary sons, founder Kristiansen is reported to have said, "Have you no faith? Can't you see that if we do this right, we can sell these bricks all over the world?"
