The famous mascot of the New England Patriots for many years was a patriot snapping a football dressed in colonial gear. What was this red, white, and blue figure named?
Answer Pat
What the name Pat lacks in imagination, it sure makes up for in being easy to remember. Pat the Patriot was created by a Worcester, MA-based cartoonist Phil Bissell in 1960. It was the official mascot of the team until 1993, when it was replaced by the "Flying Elvis" mascot, which currently represents the team.
