Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room was based on the 2003 book of the same name, which was written by two reporters from Fortune, who co-wrote the doc along with director Alex Gibney. The film is about the collapse of Enron and the criminal trial that ensued. The film has interviews with the Fortune authors as well as employees, stock experts and politicians.
