Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg is known for the insane performance of its cars, as well as for its incredible attention to detail. One such detail is the set of decals and badges of a menacing ghost, placed strategically throughout the vehicles. Where does the ghost come from?
Answer It pays homage to an unofficial logo of the Swedish air force
After Koenigsegg's first manufacturing facility was destroyed in a fire, the company moved into an abandoned airbase where the Swedish air force squadron Johan Röd was once based. The squadron decorated their planes with the same ghost logo — and Koenigsegg decided to express their gratitude by adopting the logo for their cars.
