“Surely you can’t be serious?” “I am serious - and don’t call me Shirley!”
Answer Airplane!
In the still popular spoof film 'Airplane' (1980), Dr. Rumack (Leslie Nielsen), after finding some of the cabin crew unconscious, asks the co-pilot, Mr. Striker (Robert Hays) whether he can fly the plane and land it, to which the pilot says, “Surely you can’t be serious?” The doctor then responds, “I am serious - and don’t call me Shirley!”
