Still a staple of the intellectual coffee shop set, how did the cappuccino get its name?

Cappuccino gets its name because the color of the drink, when frothed with milk, resembled the brown cloaks worn by Capuchin monks. Capuchin monks were a subset of Franciscan monks found in 16th century Italy.
