Severus Snape was the head of which Hogwarts House during Harry's stay at Hogwarts?

Professor Severus Snape holds a lot of positions during his time as a Hogwarts faculty member. In addition to being the Head of Slytherin House, he's also, at one time or another, a Potions master, a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and Headmaster of the entire school. As a student, he was a Slytherin and desperately hoped that Lily Evans, a.k.a. Harry' mom, would be sorted into that house, too.
