The Guinness Book of World Records awarded the Saalfeld Fairy Grottoes ("Feengrotten" in German) the title, "most colorful grottoes in the world." Brimming with stalactites and stalagmites, the grottoes in Germany were once a slate mining pit. Now, you don't have to be a miner to wander through the fairytale caves.
