Raised in Southern England, scientist Alan Turing is one of the geniuses of the 20th century. What does his famous Turing Test measure?
Answer Machine intelligence
Alan Turing is often considered to be the "father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence". He was largely responsible for the development of a more theoretical version of computer science, and his so-called Turing Machine worked with algorithms to do very complicated calculations before computers were fully developed. His legacy is marred by the fact that he was prosecuted for "homosexual acts," a conviction that was pardoned only in 2013.
