One of the world's largest wetlands, the Everglades is the only place in the world where what two species coexist?

Answer Alligators and crocodiles

You can only see alligators and crocodiles swimming side-by-side in the Everglades. Both part of the crocodilian family, the two species have coexisted in south Florida at least since the 19th century, when crocodiles were first spotted there. The main differences between the two are that crocodiles are longer (19 feet at their longest, whereas alligators grow up to 14 feet), and their snouts are v-shaped instead of u-shaped. Alligators have been around a lot longer in the area – in fact, their anglicized name comes from the Spanish, "el lagarto," or what explorers deemed, "the lizard." That's one big toothy lizard!
