In Chapter 3, verses 5 and 6 of Proverbs, it says we must trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. It adds that if we submit to God in all our ways, what does the Lord promise to do for us?

Proverbs 3:5-6 ends by saying if we trust in God, not lean on our understanding, and submit to Him, he will make our paths straight. This is in contrast to the crooked paths of the evil ones. God promises to help us to get to where he wants us to go, through the best path possible.
