The Porsche 917 is perhaps one of the most iconic race cars ever built. It gave Porsche its first overall win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was powered by a flat-12 engine of 4.5 or 5 liters. The 917 was capable of reaching 60mph in only 2.3 seconds. Crazy, right?
