The book Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose was published in 1948, and is about a moose "in a herd numbering approximately sixty who subsist mainly on moose-moss and live on the northern shore of Lake Winna-Bango." Thidwick has a big heart and lets animals like a small bug and a bird ride on his antlers for free.
