Once a baby frog hatches from its egg it initially has no legs and lives in the water. What are these baby frogs called?

Tadpoles hatch from eggs with a tail and no limbs and live in the water. Slowly, the tadpole begins to transform and look more like a frog by losing its tail, growing legs, and hopping on land. During the egg laying process, a female frog can lay anywhere from a few to up to 50,000 eggs depending on the type of frog.
