On which date did the Russians first attempt to reopen the gate to the Upside Down?
Answer June 28, 1984
The Gate, also known as the Right, was a portal to the upside Down located in the underground subsystem of Hawkins National. In 1985, a group of Soviet Scientists sought to reopen the Gate using a device known as the Key. However, that's not the first time they tried. On 28 June, 1984 the Soviet Scientists opened the Gate which caused major energy outbursts and they were forced to close it.
