"My Little Pony" originally began as a pair of television specials in 1984. Because these two episodes were so popular, it eventually became a regular cartoon series that aired from 1986 to 1987. The original series revolved around the 13-year-old Megan, a human who helped protect the special ponies. There was recently a revival of the series called, "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic."
