A combination of pigment and gum arabic, watercolor is a tough medium to master. Working on watercolor paper, once you do master it, you'll be able to create a luminosity unmatched. Unlike with other mediums, you won't be able to paint over top what you've already laid down repeatedly; instead, you learn to leave out instead of building up in order to achieve your desired effect.
