Neil deGrasse Tyson studied at Harvard, the University of Texas at Austin, and Columbia University, and has more than 20 honorary degrees. What's the name of the famed New York City planetarium that deGrasse became director of in 1996?
Answer Hayden Planetarium
The Hayden Planetarium is a famous part of the Natural History Museum, off Columbus Avenue in NYC. In 1994, Tyson joined the planetarium as a scientist and 2 years later, he became the director, immediately taking charge of its $210 million reconstruction project. That renovation was completed in 2000 to much fanfare.
