The concept behind "The Loop" is rather self-explanatory. The island, as well as all of its inhabitants within the game, are trapped in a time loop that resets roughly every 22 minutes. This fan theory is fueled by several easter eggs that exist within the game and by related content, such as the Batman: Zero Point comic series.
