Move over, Seven Dwarves! Where do the dwarf-like Yule lads place candies in children's shoes?

Germany may have Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, but Iceland has the 13 Yule Lads. Similar to the famous Dwarves, these Icelandic Father Christmases each have names and odd hidden talents, many of which have to do with theft. We have Sheep-Cote Clod, Gully Gawk, Stubby, Spoon Licker, Pot Scraper, Bowl Licker, Door Slammer, Skyr Gobbler, Sausage Swiper, Window Peeper, Door Sniffer, Meat Hook, and Candle Beggar. These thirteen Yule Lads deliver candy to the shoes of good girls and boys during the thirteen days leading up to Christmas...hopefully without stealing something.
