Most popularly purchased in Torch Red, what became the first mass market fiberglass car in 1953?
Answer Chevrolet Corvette
The first fiberglass car was actually the Kaiser Darrin 161 that hit the scene a year before the Corvette, at the 1952 Petersen Los Angeles Motorama. Despite a cool innovative design, only 435 of them were made, but not all of them sold and the company went out of business.
