Many are partial to one temperature scale over the other, but there is one spot where the two exist in harmony. At what temperature are both the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales the same?
Answer -40 degrees
Celsius, or centigrade, is equal to Fahrenheit at -40 degrees based on the simple algebra of setting ºF = ºC and solving for one side. It's nice that they found that mutual ground, but I don't think anyone wants to hang out and celebrate in -40 degrees.
